Anyways how can you fight the back to school blues? Here are three simple tips that help me look forward to getting back to school.
#1. Buy school supplies that makes you excited! This year I have purchased an awesome Happy Planner, a bunch of fun flair pens in mouth watering colors, florescent expo markers, and really cute smiley face binder clips. I really am looking forward to using it all. Does any teacher NOT have a school supply addiction? What are some of your favorites?
#2. Pamper Yourself! Before I start school, I always schedule a hair cut/color, mani/pedi, and massage. Why? Well, why not!? It is a great way to unwind and mentally prepare yourself for a new year and fresh start.
#3. Sleep! I plan on sleeping in and being lazy for a day or two before school starts. For the next eight months I will have to get my kids up at 5:30, make lunches, pack backpacks, shove breakfast down everyone's throat, and fight about outfits daily ... so I deserve some rest time now.
Will these ideas help? Hopefully, because it is my plan! If you have a routine you follow before the start of school, we'd love to hear your ideas!
Have a wonderful rest of summer teacher friends, we know you will kick butt in the 2018-2019 year!
